Today, Tuesday 25 May, marks one year since George Floyd’s murder. Mandate Molefi has always taken a stand against attitudinal systemic and structural racism and other forms of discrimination. We encourage our clients, friends and SA population in general to become up standers and allies to help dismantle the system of oppression that continues in our country and elsewhere. Statements of support for Black Lives Matter are great and point to the right direction. However, statements alone are not enough. We need to demonstrate through visible efforts that we do not tolerate, even in the slightest bit, any acts of discrimination or oppression in our workplaces. It is time for serious introspection and to set aside ‘ business as usual’ way of approaching Diversity Equity and Inclusion in our organizations
